Poem of the Week

Trudgingly,
begrudgingly,
one foot in front of th’other,
we made it to our library.

Entering a space filled
to the brim with isolated words
strung together seeking a
semblance of order with one paragraph after another.

And the problem,
once again, was how
to carry all we wanted
home in a bag now
weighing just over thirteen pounds.
