My favorite Memorial Day tradition is watching the national concert hosted by Gary Sinese and Joe Montagna. PBS broadcast it last night and it’s available in the YouTube video above.
I love how the program includes stories from brave men and women throughout the modern history of the US highlighting their sacrifices and bravery. The program includes narratives and songs from all genres. It’s a showcase of the best of our culture and a thank you to the families who’ve lost loved ones. Sinese, Montagna and other performers represent the public in expressing our thanks and honor.
Every year I hear stories that bring a tear to my eye.

Americans, if you watch one thing this weekend, watch this.
