Here’s a very interesting analysis on Chinese politics today. I was aware of China’s more aggressive stance in diplomacy with the US and Australia, exemplified by the Alaska meeting a few months ago. Here Joshua Phillips points out that with the Chinese government, they’re apt to act weak when they’re strong and strong when they’re weak. Hmmm.
He also states that President Xi has been acting paranoid, making statements along the lines of “there’s a traitor in our midst.” Time will tell how this all plays out.
